The No. 1 rule!
« on: June 28, 2011, 10:30:48 AM »
When it comes to fish keeping and breeding there is one peice of advice I can most definitely put before all others:
We are not keepers of fish!
We are keepers of their habitat! Get their water parameters and their surrounding just right, feed them quality food and they will do the rest!

Food for thought!  :hmmm: ;D

So true.

Clean water means healthy fish!!

But not just that. The correct environment, rocks, plants, sand, gravel..... the choices we make affect everything in our tanks!

Hahaha, yeah it's in response to all the question I get like "are they hard to keep or hard to breed?"
Answer...
Usually No...as long as you do your home work, provide correct water, correct breeding apparatus, food, temp etc. etc. they will display better than ever and breed for you!

By this I mean we do not keep our fish...but rather their habitat!  :eyebrows:

spot on mate  yet so many people who keep fish ignore this  :Ranting: i will never understand why, when it is so easy when you set a tank up to lay down the foundations for the correct water parameters

too true, clean water, correct parameters & quality foods - then keeping fish is easy.
