Aquarium going into storage foe 3 months.
« on: January 28, 2015, 08:54:13 AM »
Hello All,

I have just sold my house & have to go into a rental until I find the right house to buy.

I have been lucky enough to find a fellow fish keeper to house & look after my fish until I re buy & set up my tank again.

I have a 6 X 2 X 2 with a sump filtration. The tank is to large to deconstruct move to the rental as we could only be there for 4 weeks or 3 months. So I will be dismantling the tank & putting the set up in storage until we make the move into our own house. Is it safe to leave the tank dry? Or should there be some water left into the tank to prevent the silicone drying or cracking? As the weather will be warming up soon.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Kind Regards,
